Farleys Sculpture Garden

FARLEYS SCULPTURE GARDEN

Farleys Sculpture Garden was designed by Roland Penrose. The garden surrounds Farleys House and Gallery and is the perfect place to relax, picnic, explore the sculpture collection and enjoy views of the South Downs.

Over the years, giants, goddesses, mythical African creatures and Roland’s own work has populated the garden in the company of work by his friends F. E. McWilliam and Heinz Henghes. In continuation of Roland and Lee’s wish to promote living artists, contemporary sculptors are invited each year to exhibit in our garden. This year we have work by Sioban Coppinger, Salvatore Cuschera, Keith Pettit, Johnny White and Two Circles Design

OPEN EVERY SUNDAY, APRIL – OCTOBER, £3.50

The National Memorial Arboretum

THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK's year-round centre of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and fosters pride in our country.

A place of life, represented by the 30,000 trees, covering 150 acres, the Arboretum has something for everyone. For some it’s a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the trees; for others it's a peaceful and beautiful place to remember loved ones, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

There are more than 300 dedicated memorials. Importantly, the focus isn’t only military, there are large areas devoted to Police, Fire and Rescue and Ambulance services. National Charities are also to be found in the Arboretum grounds.
