Seasonal Frog Series along with the Maratime Frog Series were designs for pier caps on the site of the old arsenal at Thamesmead, East London. Originally for a reclaimed marsh setting, these sketches later developed into a range of frog sculptures.

The 'Spring Frogs' sketch is most closely related to the suite of sculptures known as THE BONKING FROG, made to adorn a swimming pool in an english garden.
