A dead hare was brought to Sioban's studio by an indulgent client.
Not - you might think - the kind of gift welcomed by most. But it was heaven-sent to a figurative artist who has a voracious appetite for study.

Of course there is a long tradition of anatomical study of this kind in the arts - you only have to think of Stubbs or Da Vinci.

While the hare was still relatively fresh, Sioban made a drawing directly onto a copper etching plate - before it past it's 'sketch-by' date ... hence the title.
